I want to incorporate itinto my shop and I’m sure therewill be some stuff that has togo through the foundation. I’vemade several changes with electriclocations with the experienceI’ve had with my current shopbut I never got around to settingup a vacuum or air compressorhoses throughout the shop. Those will be in this new one.It will be interesting to see howthings go next month -January2012. Until then, keep on turningand be safe. One of Our Own:Some startling news, but all people are ok.Thursday night (December 15th), the Duff’s woke up to fireoutside their bedroom in Russ’s woodturning (Russ & Eloise -ed) area. Earlier in the evening while on his lathe, Russ spotteda spark and stomped it, thinking it was out. At 11:30 pm Russand Eloise woke up, alerted to three foot flames visible throughthe sliding glass door. They bolted out of bed, called 911, andthen got their cars out of the garage. The fire department responded with 7 trucks and a helicopter tocontain the fire and successfully kept it from spreading to anyother Mount La Jolla unit. However, the entire back of the Duffhouse is destroyed. The front of the house is intact but sufferedsevere smoke and water damage. Their computers and recordswere saved, fortunately. Also, Eloise’s drawings and Russ’sturnings are smokey, but repairable. They are safe and living with a brother who is close by. Eloise’sdaughter is on her way back and Russ’s son Eric, who liveshere, is a resource. They have plenty of help to house and clotheand feed them at the moment. If you would like to email, that is great. Cards can be sent to theaddress below. They are so busy that they can’t take calls rightnow, but are grateful for emotional support. As you’d expect, they are bearing up with aplomb, but this is a major setback. They will let us know what help they need as they sort things out.We will keep you posted.-Judy and OskarEmails:eloiseduff@earthlink.net, rduff@earthlink.net,Temporary Address:6363 Cardeno DriveLa Jolla, CA 92037
