Edward’s teaching is rooted in hisphilosophy teaching architecture in a practical, technologically proven and creative manner. He isparticularly keen on investigating the technologic and tactile quality of design. He calls thisTechnics. This involves sensibility and an appreciation of the quality of materials and spaces; thequantities of the environment, building dynamics, gravity, production and process; and mostimportantly, the human experiential responses and needs. A motto to his students is: To make abuilding energy efficient and technologically sound is not that difficult, to compose it beautifully andpoetically at the same time requires one’s lifetime pursuit._______Page 7 of 61 Jun 2012
