Others need to get to theirbooth space by driving betweenthe parked vans and trucks and thebooths being setup. A few scrapesand many deep breathes as largertrucks and trailers come by. I workuntil midnight and decide to finishup in the morning. Off to the hotel,maybe find a fast food place onthe way if anything is still openand some sleep.The alarm goes off at 4am; I amat the booth by 4:45 to finish settingup. It is dark but I have mytrusty Coleman battery lantern tolight the booth as I put out productand signs. By 9am I am all readyto go and wander off to visit others,find some coffee and a donut.Breakfast of champions. Can’tstay away long as I can alreadysee early bird customers walkingthe street. And so it begins.NEWS FROM THE DVD LIBRARYFrom the DVD LibraryHow to clean your DVDThe show closes each day atdusk. When is dusk? Nobodyseems to know. At 5pm a fewbooths are seen to close up. Mustnot be selling anything. I stillhave customers so I stay open andwatch the others. My photographerneighbor says he is just waiting forothers to shut down. Around 6 alarger bunch of booths start closingup. I still have customers soI stay. Finally at around 7 a massexodus starts and the drunks fromthe bar across the street are startingto wander in. Time to go. I zipup the booth, hope for no overnightwinds and walk the 8 blocksto my van. I am off to find somefast food take out and a bottle ofwine to take back to the hotel. Yetanother exciting night on the road.Each day starts and ends thesame until Sunday night.
