Ken and Pat Roth graciously open their home and theirinteresting and spacious back yard to us and the fun begins. (We appreciate their hospitality.)The Raffle at this event is not about lathes or tools. It is dedicated to our club charities. (Toys For Tots, Turn-A-Round For Vets, etc.) Nan has been the heart and soul of this this raffle theme for as long as I’ve been in the cluband we appreciate her tireless efforts, but she can’t do it without our help. That’s where we come in.Each year members of the club donate a piece of their own turnings to the raffle. In turn, we raffle these wonderfulworks of art off and add the proceeds of the raffle to our annual charity fund. Among the donated itemsare various items donated by some of the world class turners that have demonstrated at the club meetings andanyone else that Nan can talk into making a contribution (who can refuse Nan?)Join us in this worthy cause.
