11‣ Farmers of the mid hills zone of Solan in Himachal Pradesh are advised to spraytriazophos 0.15% (375 ml Hostathion 40 EC) or Acephate 0.15% (200 gram astof) orFenvalrate 0.02% (100 ml fanvel/ Agrofen 20 EC) or deltamethrin 0.0056% (200 mldecis 2.8 EC) per 100 litre of water at 15 days interval for the control of leafminer intomato. For the control of Jassids in okra spray malathion 0.05% ( 100 mlcythion/malathion/masthion 50 EC) or endosulfan 0.05% (140 mlthiodan/Hildan/Endocil/Endovan 35 EC) in 100 litre of water at 15 days of interval.‣ Farmers are advised to monitor sugarcane for the attack of pyrilla in Punjab andHaryana. Take proper plant protection measures.‣ Due to high humidity there is possibility of attack of Jassid and Sundi in cotton cropin Haryana. Take proper plant protection measures.‣ In Delhi Monitoring of cucurbitaceous crops against attack of fruit fly isrecommended in present weather condition. After detecting the symptoms, sprayingof Carbaryl @ 1.5 to 2 gram /litre of water is advised. In vegetables (brinjal,cauliflower, cabbage, tomato etc) spraying of Spinosad 1.0 ml / 4 litre of water isadvised against fruit borer, diamond back moth. Termites may damage crops andvegetables in the present weather. Farmers are advised to spray Chlorpyriphos 20EC @ 4ml/litre of water.‣ In Delhi present weather conditions, rouging of viral infested crop should be donein chilli. Infected plants should be uprooted and buried in the soil. After rouging,spraying of Imidacloprid @ 0.3 ml per litre of water is advised for control thevector. Also, constant monitoring of ladyfinger, brinjal and chilli crop is advisedagainst attack of mite and jassid. Spraying of phosmite @ 1.5 - 2 ml per litre ofwater is advised to control mite. Spraying of Dimethoate 30 EC @ 2 ml/liter ofwater against jassid is advised.‣ Stages of major crops are mentioned in Annexure I.Animal Husbandary‣ In Punjab, during hot and humid climate may lead to conditions of ring worm & otherproblems in animals so farmers are advised to keep the animals clean and dry alsoprotect wounds from flies to avoid maggots’ infestation.‣ To check tick infection spray Asuntol 0.05%, Butox 0.02% and Taktic 0.02% on theanimals as well as in the sheds and repeat the spray after 10-15 days.‣ Due to changing environment milch and baby animals are likely to be affected withinfection of respiratory tracts in In Semi Arid Eastern Plain Zone of Jaipur in Rajasthan.If symptoms like droppings from nose, fever etc. are seen in animals, a three dayscourse of Cproflaxin, Anorflaxin or Sulpha may be given under the guidance ofveterinary doctor.SOUTH INDIA [TN, AP, KERALA, KARNATAKA, LAKSHADWEEP, ANDAMAN &NICOBAR ISLANDS] Realised Rainfall: Dakshin Kannada and Udipi in Coastal Karnataka, Belgaum andHaveri in North Interior Karnataka, most of the districts in South Interior Karnatakaexcept Bellary and Davangere districts, Kannur, Ernakulam, Kasaragod, Kozhikode andMalappuram in Kerala, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri, Karur, Madurai, Nagapatinam,Namakkal, Nilgiris, Salem, Tirupur, Tiruvannamalai and Virudunagar in Tamil Nadu,Nellore, Prakasam in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Anantapur in Rayalaseema receivedsufficient rainfall. No significant rainfall occurred in the remaining parts of the region.
