10 th May 2011MITIE Group PLCRolls-Royce supplier award for MITIEMITIE, the strategic outsourcing and energy services company, has been recognisedfor high standards of service delivery on its UK FM contract with Rolls-Royce.Rolls-Royce announced the award at their third annual Supplier of the Year AwardsDinner which they recently hosted in the USA for their top strategic Partners andSuppliers.The Rolls-Royce supplier awards recognise the contribution and commitment of thesupply base to continuous improvement, with a focus on performance. MITIE wascommended by Rolls-Royce for the standards of service provided on its FacilitiesManagement contract in the UK.At the end of 2010, after a rigorous selection process, Rolls-Royce awarded MITIE theIntegrated Facilities Management contract for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa(EMEA). Spanning seven countries, with 56 sites and employing a MITIE team of over1,000, this pan-European contract is unique in the FM industry by virtue of its sheerscale and complexity.Mike Orris, Rolls-Royce, Chief Procurement Officer, commented, "The Rolls-RoyceSupplier of the Year awards recognise the contribution and continuous commitmentof strategic partners and suppliers in support of the Rolls-Royce supply chain strategyand, ultimately, the performance of our product range.
