Preparing <strong>the</strong> ZEISS MICS IOLs for implantationwith <strong>the</strong> <strong>single</strong>-<strong>use</strong> injec<strong>to</strong>r <strong>A6</strong>Fill <strong>the</strong> barrel halfway with viscoelasticsubstance, preferably with hypromellose.Put two lines of viscoelastics <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> planeof <strong>the</strong> cartridge. Do not <strong>to</strong>uch <strong>the</strong>tip of <strong>the</strong> cartridge.Pull lens gently from <strong>the</strong> lens holderusing a forceps with fine tips.Do not let <strong>the</strong> IOL dry up.Do not <strong>use</strong> <strong>the</strong> fluid from <strong>the</strong> bottlefor ocular irrigation.Place <strong>the</strong> lens in <strong>the</strong> centre of <strong>the</strong> openedcartridge.Hold optic down, center <strong>the</strong> IOL on <strong>the</strong> loadingdeck of <strong>the</strong> cartridge. Close <strong>the</strong> cartridgewithout clamping <strong>the</strong> lens.Control <strong>the</strong> position of <strong>the</strong> lens within <strong>the</strong>channel of <strong>the</strong> closed cartridge.
