This research report presents <strong>the</strong> findings from an eighteen month study, <strong>Minority</strong>Voices, carried out by YoungMinds, <strong>into</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>access</strong> to, <strong>and</strong> <strong>acceptability</strong> <strong>of</strong>, servicesfor <strong>the</strong> mental health <strong>of</strong> young people from Black <strong>and</strong> minority ethnic groups inEngl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> Wales. The report describes <strong>the</strong> rationale for <strong>the</strong> study in terms <strong>of</strong>national policy <strong>and</strong> findings from previous research in <strong>the</strong> field <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>methodology, which focused on obtaining <strong>the</strong> views <strong>of</strong> young people <strong>the</strong>mselvesabout <strong>the</strong>ir experiences <strong>of</strong> using mental health services <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir suggestions forhow <strong>the</strong>se could be improved.
