Use the EditMod utility to directly modify existing pipe devicedescriptor modules either as a stand-alone module or as part of amerged module group (such as a boot image).2. Modify the description file for the pipe device descriptor module andrebuild it using the makefile provided.Direct Modification AdvantagesThe direct modification method has the following advantages:FastNo source configuration file rebuilds arenecessary.TemporaryThe original module or merged-module groupconfiguration can be easily restored through theappropriate rebuild.ContainedChanges are limited to the individual bootimage modified (merged-module option).Description File/Rebuild AdvantagesThe advantage of the description file/rebuild method is that the changesare permanent and reproducible. Modifications apply to all subsequentmodule rebuilds and to all merged-module groups built containing theupdated module.Both methods are documented in this section.
