SCF <strong>Device</strong> <strong>Descriptor</strong>sSCF <strong>Device</strong> <strong>Descriptor</strong> Field <strong>Reference</strong>3This section contains a list of the most commonly configured fields inthe SCF device descriptors. Each field entry contains the followinginformation:• - The call name for each field that can be reconfiguredin the module.• EditMod LABELS - EditMod menu selections for navigating to theproper field in an EditMod session.• DESCRIPTION FILE MACRO - The macro name you modify/definein the description file.• DESCRIPTION - A brief description of the field’s purpose <strong>and</strong> use.• EXAMPLE - An optional example of the description file entryshowing how to change the value of this field.• PORT GENERIC DEFAULT VALUE - The value set in the portgeneric description file for this field. This is the value the field isassigned when the module is built, unless the appropriate macrohas been defined in the port specific description file to override thisdefault value.• PORT SPECIFIC OVERRIDE VALUE - The value set in the portspecific description file for this field. If defined, this is the value thefield is assigned when the module is built, overriding the port genericdefault value.• AVAILABLE VALUES - Values to which the field can be set throughEditMod or the description files.
