Introduction : Requested from Roger Montenegro, Secretary of EducationAknowledgementsGeneral presentation : Defining the role of psychoanalysis in psychiatryrequires providing universal guidelines. A list of texts as fundamental (basic) referencehas been established for this purpose by the Section. This suggested reading list shouldcause an incentive to reflect on one’s work and professional identity. The suggestion is that in addition to the reading, it will provoque reflexion onour work and our professional identity.History of the list : rather concise, followed by a framed List.Analysis of each text, with a biographical footnote on the author, placed in apsychoanalytic and psychiatric historical perspective. and within the context of theauthor’s work.Index by theme of the readings, always with a psychiatric perspective of thevarious textsReview by theme of the readings. Conclusion on the role of psychoanalysis in psychiatryPostface or appendix ( or postscript) : requested from Juan Mezzich, currentpresident of the AMP (WPA)
