During Clinic I and II rotations, time is scheduled in the specialty clinics held either atMercy Family Health Center or Shasta Community Health Center. Continuity clinic timeis maintained throughout the rotation at the minimum of three half-days/week.Clinic I Specialty Clinic Monthly FrequencyAllergy:1xDermatology:6xHIV:1xPractice Management 2xPain Management 1xMinor Surgery/Plastics: 3xVasectomy:3xClinic II Specialty Clinic Monthly FrequencyBehavioral Science: 2xColposcopy:5xDermatology:4xGYN:2xMetric (Q.A.)1xRenal:1xAllergy Clinic (C1 – MFHC):You will be working with Dr. Renard, an internist specializing in allergy/clinicalimmunology. During this outpatient rotation, the resident will gain experience inthe recognition and proper management of common allergic problems andprocedures. The resident must be present in the allergy clinic at all times duringthis rotation. The resident does an initial history and examination, and thenpresents them to the allergist to discuss management and strategy. Attendance atany allergy lectures during this rotation is mandatory. Upon completion of theallergy rotation, a short, written or verbal test is optional pending the discretion ofthe allergist.Behavioral Science (C2 – MFHC)This involves seeing mental health patients with Dr. PappasColposcopy Clinics (C2 – MFHC and SCHC):Training is provided in the management of abnormal cervical pathology under thesupervision of family practice faculty. Procedures include Colposcopy,cryotherapy and LEEP.
