INTRODUCTIONThe <strong>Planning</strong> <strong>Scheme</strong> <strong>Provisions</strong> outline the intent of the zones and the particdar land use rightsapplicable within the zones, based on the land use definitions detailed in the document.Performance standards have been established for various forms of development and these standardsare set out in the document.The administrative requirements that enable operation and implementation of the <strong>Planning</strong> <strong>Scheme</strong>and the statutory requirements of the Local Government [planning and Environment] Act are alsooutlined in the document.2. DEFINITIONS2.1 Administrative DefinitionsThe following definitions are terms used in the <strong>Scheme</strong> that do not have a specific land usemeaning in the Table of Zones.AMCORDThe Australian Model Code for Residential Development.AccessThe practicable means of entry of persons and vehicles onto an allotment, either existing orproposed, from a road which abuts the frontage thereof.Access StripThat part of an allotment bounded by the frontage of that allotment, the side or rear boundariesof adjoining allotments and which is included in that allotment solely for the provision ofaccess.- ActThe Local Government [<strong>Planning</strong> and Environment] Act, as amended, or any Act supersedingthis Act.AllotmentA single parcel of land the current boundaries of which are defined on a plan of surveydeposited in the relevant State Government Department or registered under the Real PropertyActs. The term includes a parcel of land over or in respect of which a building units plan or agroup titles plan (within the meaning of those terms in the Building Units and Group Titles Act)has been or is proposed to be registered, but does not include a lot in such a plan.AncillaryAssociated with but incidental and subordinate to the principal use.ApplicantAny person, group of persons, company, body corporate or unincorporated body who or whichhas made or is required to make any application to the <strong>Council</strong> (including applications of diekind referred to in Section 5) under this <strong>Scheme</strong>, whether or not the required application has infact been made.
