3.3.2 Hillside Residential ZoneIntent-36-The intent of the Hillside Residential zone is to protect the visual quality andenvironmental values of the hillsides within Cairns City while allowing for lowdensity residential development that is consistent with the protection of thehillsides. The hillsides are of special importance and any development will needto be carefully designed and managed to prevent any adverse impacts on thehillsides.
