- 102-A forecourt drive-in holding area shall be provided adjacent to thereception area of a Caravan Park of sufficient dimensions for theparking of two caravans and attached towing vehicles clear of thegeneral traffic movement.*-Internal street lighting shall be provided to the satisfaction of theCity Engineer, such lighting shall be of a low profile, providingillumination for the internal roadways only and shall be designedand maintained so as not to affect the amenity of the caravan parkoccupants.Pedestrian pathways shall be provided to connect caravan, cabin,relocatable home and camping sites with the facilities providedby the Caravan Park or Mobile Home Park and to provide a clearand legible route to external access points.Pedestrian pathways should wherever possible provide a routethrough the site which is more direct than that via driveways.Visitor and staff car parking and car washing and repair bays shallbe provided in accordance with the requirements of Table 2 ofthis Section and as follows :-aWhere visitor parking spaces are provided other than in a centrallocation, they shall be located--in discrete areas of small clusters, generally of no morethan 5 spaces;- at regular intervals; and- so that the majority are within 50 metres of long termoccupancy sites, where applicable.One concrete car repair space shall be provided for each 50 sitesor part thereof.One concrete car washing space shall be provided for each 50sites or part thereof.All parking areas (including car washing and repair bays) shall belocated and screened to the satisfaction of the Council so that theydo not adversely affect the amenity of occupants of the site ornearby properties.(vii) Communal FacilitiesToilet, ablution and laundry facilities shall be provided to thesatisfaction of the Council in combined amenity buildings, exceptwhere the Council, at its discretion may permit such facilities tobe provided in separate buildings. The amenity buildings shall bedesigned to complement the amenity of the site and surroundinglocality with allowance being made for:-- adequate natural light;- privacy between the men's and women's sections and allareas external to the amenity buildings;--a paved walkway leading to an connecting all entrances andexits;use by children and infants;
- 103 -- power and electricity to provide adequate artificial lightingduring the hours between sunset and sunrise;- adequate and appropriate signposting;- use by handicapped persons.Toilet and ablution facilities shall be provided to the satisfactionof the Council and shall comply with the followingrequirements:-- separate hand basins shall be provided in each showerblock and each hand basin shall be provided with hot andcold reticulated water, an electric power point, a plug and awall mirror; and- baby bath facilities shall be provided within the amenitybuildings at a minimum rate of one such facility for eachsex for every shower block or for every 50 sites or partthereof, whichever is the lesser.- Laundry facilities shall be provided as follows :-- Two washing machines, one tub and two mechanicalclothes dryers shall be provided for every 50 sites or partthereof;- Clothes drying areas shall be provided at the rate of twometres of clothes line per bay. Screened drying areas shallbe strategically located throughout the park to serviceoccupants of the development.-These requirements may be waived at the discretion of theCity Engineer if Relocatable Home Parks contain internalor on-site (bay) laundry facilities.All automatic washing machines installed must be connecteddirectly to a hot and cold water supply. Hot and cold water shallbe reticulated to all washtubs.No caravan, cabin, mobile home or tent site shall be distant morethan 100 metres from an amenities building nor shall anyamenities building be closer than 6 metres to any caravan, cabin,mobile home or tent site. Such minimum distances shall notapply where on-site facilities are provided for each caravan,cabin, mobile home or tent.(viii) Other Communal FacilitiesThe following additional facilities shall be provided within aCaravan Park or Mobile Home Park for the exclusive use of the0ccupants:-- an area shall be provided for centralised storage facilitieswithin Caravan Parks containing sites which have beenapproved' for long term occupancy and Mobile HomePatrons. At the discretion of the Council the area mayprovide for individual storage units erected by residents orfor the rental of units erected by the site management;-a recreation building which provides for both active andpassive recreation;
