Operators should refuse any instruction to approveany transaction, regardless of who issues the instruction, as this representsa serious breach of internal control• Databases are backed up on a daily basis and stored securely and that thecomputer equipment, media and security documentation are properlysecured• The cleaning and maintenance schedule for the equipment is strictlyadhered to and that all faults are reported immediately to the maintenanceprovider• Ready stock of consumables is available at all times and that the computertelephone connection is used solely for accessing the Treasury Server andthat telephone bills are paid on time.Government of the United Republic of Tanzania22
