AdditivesSince certain pigments, fillers or extra styrene may the affect properties of CRYSTIC 115 NT their effect should beevaluated before addition to the formulation.Post curingFor most applications satisfactory result will be obtained by curing at room temperature (20°C). Some improvement inproperties may be obtained by post-curing 16 hours at 40°C after release from the mould.Typical propertiesOn liquid resinViscosity at 25°C 115 dPas 4-5Rhéomat at 37,35 sec-1 115 NT 3.3-3.9Specific gravity at 25°C 115 / 115 NT 1.10Acid index 115 / 115 NT mg KOH/g 16-22Volatile contentAspect115115 NT115115 NT%40-4338-42Thixo clearStability in the dark at 20°C 115 / 115 NT Month 6Gel time at 25°C for 100g of resin +2gcata. Mouldings which are to beused with foodstuffs should be cured with catalyst O or butanox LA. After release from the mould, laminates should beallowed to mature for 24 hours at workshop temperature (20°C). They should then be post cured for a minimum of 3hours at 85°C.The mouldings must be thoroughly wet steam cleaned for at least one hour before being put into service. If wet steamcleaning is not practical, and if the moulding is a vessel, it should be filled with hot water (60-80°C) containing a nonperfumed detergent and left to stand for two hours. It should then be emptied thoroughly washed in several batches ofclan hot water.Crystic 115NT - TDS 2/3
