This young groupof breeders has made the commitment to call Whitewood home for their bullsale, and here they are again building a solid foundation for future sales. It wasencouraging to see the support given to this sale last year and was a testamentto the demand for good bulls raised by good people. It is not everyday you seesuch youth and enthusiasm in the cattle business. Support and encouragementare much deserved.This year’s bulls are mostly Red and Black Simmental with a select group of BlackMaines, again, to add some diversity. The largest group will again be from the“McCormack Family Ranch” based west of Grenfell. The breeding consistencyof their walking herd bulls has strengthened their offering in 2008 and you willsee a steady improvement in the future as sisters to these bulls become the backbone to this already powerful herd.“Prairie Wind” and “Diamond M” have increased their bull numbers with evenmore red and black Simmental bulls carrying the extra muscle and performancethe commercial industry demands right now. Balancing explosive growth and theirsuperior maternal benefi t, is the trade mark of Simmental, and as breeders theystrive to improve their stock for your benefi t as future bull buyers.“Calico Cattle Co.” and “Scissor Creek Cattle Co.” round out the original groupmembers. These two outfi ts have also increased their numbers slightly with asignature set of red and black Simmental bulls. These are two outfi ts with closeties to the commercial business as they run large numbers of commercial cowsor grass yearlings alongside the seed stock.The “Proudly Western” group has added one more young enthusiastic Simmentalbreeder with “Johnson Stock Farms”. They have a couple of red Simmental bullsto offer and I strongly encourage you to take a serious look at them.
