With the help of Iolanthethe Fairy Queen, and Princess Ida she enlists the aid of The Mikado, The Sorcerer, The Duke of Plaza-Toro,Admiral Sir Joseph Porter and Major-General Stanley to save the day. Also involved in the plot are ratherstrange fairies, living trees and flowers and a chorus of ship’s rodents. The hapless hostage Christopher, the ship’scook Sam O’Nella, the citizens of Paragonia and the flower of British manhood, the English Bobby, complete thecast.Background InformationLibrettist W.S.
