South Amboy, died May 17 <strong>at</strong> Methodist Hospital in Houston, Tesas.<br />

Born in Kansas City. Mo . he lived In South Amboy until 1974 He<br />

lived in Brant B-*ach. Ocean County, before, moving to Palm City,<br />

Fla, 10 years age<br />

He worked for Lhe N<strong>at</strong>ional l*ad to in Sayreville. retiring 1*<br />

years ago<br />

Mr. Banfield was a gradu<strong>at</strong>e of Rutgers University He was s<br />

fourth degree past member of the Knights of Columbus. South<br />

Anboy Council, and the Holy Name Society »<br />

His first wife. Mary Vail Banfield. and his brother. JohnBanfieM.a<br />

are deceased<br />

Surviving are his wife. Dorothy Besner Banfield; two daughters,<br />

Mary Ellen Brantley of Atlanta, Ga . and Fran Beahada of South<br />

Anboy. two stepdaughters. Dorothy Gaddon of Sayreville and<br />

Judith Kroaa of south Amboy. three brothers. Alfred In Missouri.<br />

Thomas in Nevada, and Francis of Woodbridge; one sister.<br />

Margaret Stramback of South Amhoy. H.X grandchildren and two<br />

JOSEPHINE T. DANOWSKI EIJ.IftON, 77, of South Amboy<br />

died May 30 <strong>at</strong> home<br />

Born Ui England, she lived ir Jersey Cny before moving to South<br />

Amboy in 1871<br />

She was an assembly worker <strong>at</strong> the American Can Co in Jersey<br />

City for 25 years, retiring in 1970<br />

She ws» a member of St Mary'sR C Church in South Amboy<br />

Her husband. Wayne, d ed in 1948<br />

Surviving are a daughter. Joan Nagle of South Amboy; a son,<br />

Richard Ellison of Union Beach one sister. Stephanie Cooper of<br />

St<strong>at</strong>en Island, and five grandchildren<br />

Services were from the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main St..<br />

South Amboy, followed by a Mass jf Christian Burial <strong>at</strong> St Mary's<br />

Church, South Amboy<br />

Interment was in the church cemetery<br />

JAMES E. DONNEM.l, 72. of the Parlin section of Old Bridge,<br />

died May 31 <strong>at</strong> South Amhoy Memorial Hospital<br />

Mr. Donnelly was born in West Hoboken and lived in Jersey City<br />

before moving to Parlin 12 years ago<br />

Before retiring in 1904. he was a shipping and receiving clerk <strong>at</strong> the<br />

Bend)* Corp of Teterboro for *2 years<br />

He wav a member of St Bernadette's R C Church, Parlin.<br />

Eugene j Donnelly died in 1779 His sisters, Anna V Launders and<br />

Chrisitan Brrial <strong>at</strong> St Hemadette s R C Church. Pailin. Crem<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

EBWARB J. MC LANE. 64, who served as executive director of<br />

the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority until March, died Jyne 1<br />

<strong>at</strong> Raritan Bay Medical (enter. Old Bridge Division<br />

Mr. McLane directed the authority for five years before his<br />

retirement He also held a variety of positions with various local<br />

governments<br />

He was assistant Old Bndge finance director from 1978 to IM4;<br />

Keantburg administr<strong>at</strong>or from 1974 to 197*, and South Amboy's city<br />

administr<strong>at</strong>or from 1977 to l«74<br />

Born in Mnosic, Pa .he lived in 'Jnt Jackson Heights section of<br />

Queens before moving to Old Bridge in 196fc<br />

died June 2 <strong>at</strong> South Amboy Memorial Hospital<br />

He was born in South Amboy and lived h Morgan for the past 40<br />

years<br />

He worked as a disp<strong>at</strong>cher &t NL Industries in Sayre/ille for 38<br />

years before retiring in 1977 He was a member of the company's 25<br />

Year Club.<br />

He was a Navy Veteran of World War 11<br />

He was a communicant of St Lawrence R.C Church in the<br />

Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge<br />

Surviving are his wife. Shirely Nehrkorn Coughlin; a daughter,<br />

Barbara Auth of Annadale. Va , a son, Morgan W Coughlin, a<br />

sister, Maurita Knies of Toms River. and three granddaughters.<br />

Services were from The Gundrum Service—home for Funerals,<br />

237 Bordttitown Ave , South Amboy, followed by a 9 am Mass of<br />

Christian Burial <strong>at</strong> St Lawrence Church Burial was in Christ<br />
