W. NOTICES1) ARITST must keep BSJ and AGMA informed <strong>of</strong> any change <strong>of</strong> address and/or telephonenumber. This notice must be provided within 15 days <strong>of</strong> change occurring.2) Any and all notices are to be in writing and sent return receipt requested to the last knownaddress filed by the ARTIST with BSJ or the last known address filed by the ARTIST withAGMA.X. SEPARABILITYIf any provision <strong>of</strong> this Basic Agreement shall be held invalid under existing or future Californiaor Federal law, it shall be deemed separable from the remainder <strong>of</strong> this Basic Agreement, and itshall not affect the validity <strong>of</strong> any other provision there<strong>of</strong>.Y. LOCKOUTS AND STRIKESDuring the term <strong>of</strong> this Basic Agreement there shall be no lockouts and no strikes. However anindividual ARTIST compelled by their individual conscience may choose to respect a dulysanctioned picket line <strong>of</strong> an authorized labor organization.Z. UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATION FORBIDDENAll terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> employment included in this Basic Agreement shall be administeredand applied without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed, disabilityand/or national origin except where bona fide occupational qualifications may, as recognized bythe law <strong>of</strong> the jurisdiction, be shown to exist. BSJ shall not unlawfully discriminate against anyARTISTs because <strong>of</strong> his/her activities on behalf <strong>of</strong> AGMA.AA.HARMONIOUS WORKPLACE1) BSJ, AGMA and ARTISTs agree to endeavor to promote mutual respect, a positiveatmosphere, and harmonious working relationships. BSJ, AGMA and ARTISTsacknowledge that artistic endeavors may involve stressful conditions. BSJ and ARTISTs willexpressly maintain the position that no ARTIST or BSJ Staff Member shall be subjected toinsulting or humiliating language, trespass, or abusive conduct on the part <strong>of</strong> any BSJemployee, affiliate or representative. It is further acknowledged that injuries may result to theaffected individual or BSJ’s operations may be impaired as a result <strong>of</strong> any such personalaffront, racial or ethnic slur, or any trespass to person or property.2) Therefore, in the event that any individual believes he/she has been affected by such anaffront, slur, or trespass by BSJ, ARTISTs or any other person otherwise engaged by BSJ,the individual affected shall make a written report <strong>of</strong> the incident, which report shall besubmitted promptly to the Executive Director, with a copy to the AGMA representative(s).3) Such allegations <strong>of</strong> abuse, including written statements, shall be brought to the attention <strong>of</strong>the Executive Director, and AGMA representative and may be discussed and a resolutionattempted by BSJ and AGMA. Such discussions and attempts at resolution neither supplantnor constitute remedies which must be exhausted by either BSJ, AGMA or ARTISTs prior toany arbitration or other procedures which may be undertaken with the consent <strong>of</strong> bothAGMA and BSJ.12
