STORE and RECALL MENUSThere are ten storage locations from whichsetup data may be recalled. One of theselocations, number 0, contains default setup data, the other nine locations contain setupinformation that was stored by the user. Becausethe information is stored in nonvolatile RAM, itwill be available for recall even if the instrumentis turned off.All of the instrument's settings are stored, eventhose which are not currently active: forexample, the external trigger threshold is savedeven though the instrument is operating oninternal trigger.Operating data is stored by pressing the STOREkey, one digit (1-9) to specify the storagelocation, and the EXC (execute) key. Mistakesmay be edited with the BSP (backspace) key.Instrument settings are recalled from storage bypressing the RECALL key, one digit (0-9), andthe EXC (execute) key. If the stored data hasbeen corrupted since it was saved, the errormessage "Recall Error" will be displayed. Theerror message can be removed by pressing anykey. A defective Lithium battery or very noisyac line voltages will cause "Recall Errors".ACCURACY, DRIFT, AND JITTEREach of the delay channels, A, B, C and D, maybe programmed to time out from 0 to 1000seconds with a resolution of 5 ps. The factors, which detract from this ideal performance, arediscussed here.ACCURACYThe error in the time delay between any two outputsis less than (1500 ps [500 ps typical] + Timebaseerror x Time between Outputs). (This specificationis exclusive of time shifts due to slew rates at theoutputs, i.e., it should be measured with bothoutputs set for the same logic levels driving thesame loads). The timebase error depends on thetimebase being used:Standard
