<strong>TRAVEL</strong> <strong>ADVISORY</strong> <strong>POLICY</strong> <strong>AND</strong> <strong>PROCEDURES</strong>A travel advisory is issued by <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Canada</strong>’s System Operations Control (SOC) to identify cities or areasaffected by weather, civil unrest, etc.The advisory triggers the rebooking policy for affected <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Canada</strong>, <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> rouge TM ,<strong>Air</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> Express TM and Tier III flights.• When the flights are not cancelled, passengers can be re-booked on alternate <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> flight(s)within a specified travel window listed below.• When flights are cancelled, please follow the procedures in the Irregular Operations Policy.APPLICABLE TO:• All ticket stock;• AC operated flights, departing or landing into an affected city, including connections on AC and AC*;• Return flights on AC or AC*;• Separate tickets issued by any carrier – for AC connecting to AC only.REBOOKING GUIDELINESTravel agents’ bookings made in the GDS must be rebooked in their GDS. When you rebook your customers, please adhere to the following:• Re-protect on AC or AC* only (other airlines are not permitted)• Origin and destination must remain the same (including sister cities)• Waitlist permitted, only if the original ticketed fare allowed a waitlist• Rebook same class up to Y for Economy Class• Rebook same class up to J for Business Class, with the exception of R class: When used with an eUpgrade credit, rebook original ticketed booking class up to Y When used for a last minute paid upgrade, rebook R up to JTICKETING GUIDELINESTo ensure your clients can check-in on the web or via the kiosks, you need to re-issue your clients’tickets.The affected flight coupon must be available.
