Relationship Management at Sheffield Hallam
The University Executive Group approved a customer relationship management strategy last year in
response to significant changes in the external environment arising from changes in student tuition
fees and funding. The Future Student Relationship Management strategy (FSRM) is an ambitious
change programme which aims to create a distinctive, customised experience for prospective
students. The programme includes the implementation of a corporate CRM system (Achiever by
Interactive Software Ltd), the strategic development of our enquiry and communication activity, a
recruitment portal, paperless admissions processing and the redevelopment of recruitment events to
meet customer demand.
The University Executive Group have recently commissioned a scoping exercise to develop an
enterprise wide approach to relationship management, which will include strategic, operational and

analytical approaches to CRM. Achiever functionality is now being developed to support the current
student experience and B2B activity.
