Note: The aluminum pigment tends to settle to the bottom of the container during storage. Aneffective way of ensuring that product components are correctly mixed is to pour the entire contents into an empty container.Then mix thoroughly until aluminum color is uniform.Substrates and surface preparationALLABIT 822 Aluminum can be applied to bitumen roofing products after a suitable seasoning period, viz.:• At least 10 days after application for hot-applied bitumen products.• At least three months after application for solvent-borne bitumen products.• At least 30 days after application for bitumen emulsions.Before applying ALLABIT 822 Aluminum, remove all dust from substrate. If necessary, wash with water and allow to drythoroughly.
