Costs relatedto providing material support to customers are recouped through the application of stabilizedrates that include recovery for cost elements such as inventory management and the receipt andissue of assets.Activity Group CompositionThe following Marine Corps organizations are funded in this activity group:Supply Chain Management Center, Albany, GADirect Support Stock Control, Albany, GADirect Support Stock Control, Barstow, CABusiness Logistics Support Department, Camp Lejeune, NCDirect Support Stock Control, Quantico, VAConsolidated Material and Service Center, Camp Pendleton, CAExecutive SummarySignificant Changes Since the FY 2011 President’s BudgetThe Marine Corps SMAG had significant growth in FY 2010 Gross Sales in the Wholesaleprogram. Details are provided in the Operating Results, Cash Management and Sales sections.Budget Highlights/Special Interest ItemsThis budget includes all known requirements to implement Base Realignment and Closure(BRAC) Committee Law #176 (S&S 7), which disestablishes and consolidates Depot LevelReparable (DLR) procurement requirements from DoD services to the Defense Logistics Agency(DLA). In accordance with this law and effective for the remainder of FY 2011, MC SMAG hastransferred funding for one Full Time Equivalent (FTE) from MC SMAG to DLA. The fundingsupports labor and support costs related to procurement of DLRs. The Marine Corps and DLAcontinue to work, plan, and coordinate all actions and processes required to fully implementthis BRAC law prior to 1 October 2011.
