ULTRAFILM ECOOleochemical esterDESCRIPTIONThe ULTRAFILM ECO line is comprised of coalescent agents derived from palm kernel oiland/or sugarcane. The line was developed to meet the regulations that control VOC (volatileorganic compound) content in formulations for coatings and for consumers who require lowodor paints.• Permits producing paints and adhesives with low VOC content• Low odor• High capacity for reducing MFFT of several types of latexes• High resistance to wet abrasion.• Low toxicityULTRAFILM ECO line coalescent agents come from renewable raw materials. They have greencarbon content between 60-100 % and a boiling point between 260-290 °C.APPLICATIONS• Coalescent agent in formulations for paints and varnishes, containing PVA latex, acrylics and styrene-acrylics;• Coalescent agent in formulations for water-based adhesives and industrial paints;• Solvents for electro-isolating varnishes;• Permits the production of externally low VOC content and low odor;• ULTRAFILM 1000 ECO and ULTRAFILM 2000 ECO have a boiling point greater than280°C and permit the production of paints, varnishes and adhesives that meet theGreen Seal Standard;• Paints with high resistance to wet abrasion.INFORMATIVE PROPRIETIES (*)Green CarbonContent (%)BoilingPoint (°C)SurfaceTension(Mn/m)Density(g/ml)Solubility in waterULTRAFILM 1000 ECO 60 290 30.4 0.99 Slightly solubleULTRAFILM 2000 ECO 85 280 29.6 0.87 InsolubleULTRAFILM 3000 ECO 100 260 23.4 0.85 InsolubleNOTES: (*) The characteristics described above are merely informative and may be changed without prior notice. ULTRAFILM ECOOleochemical esterThe capacity of ULTRAFILM ECO line products to reduce the MFFT for styrene-acrylic latex,ACRONAL ® 295 D, is shown in the graph:HANDLING AND STORAGEDue to being hygroscopic, we advise keeping ULTRAFILM ECO in an inert and dry atmosphere, preferably under nitrogen.ULTRAFILM ECO must be protected from sources of ignition, such as open flames, hot surfaces, electric discharge, etc.Avoid contact with the eyes. The use of personal protection equipment, like PVC gloves, coat and safety goggles, isrecommended during handling. In case of prolonged exposures, use masks appropriate for organicvapors. The extinguishing agents are dry chemical powder and carbon dioxide. The shelf life of ULTRAFILM ECO is 24 months as of the manufacturing date, provided it is kept inthe original pack and under suitable storage conditions.Note: for further information, consult the Emergency Sheet and the Material Safety Datasheet(MSDS).PACKAGING2
