Community Safety is one of the eight priorities within the districtCommunity Plan. The aim is for crime to be under control and forpeople to feel safe. The priorities identified by the partnership directlycontribute towards achieving this.13.2. The new Corporate Strategy 2011-13 (approved by <strong>Council</strong> on15.12.10) has identified economic prosperity as a key objective.Adopting the identified priorities will contribute to making the districtsafer and more welcoming for people to live, work and visit; and forbusiness development and growth.Page 39
