SERVICE PROGRAMSP 2-132-001Tilting CabGeneralNOTE! Remove or secure all loose articles andclose all doors before tilting the cab. The areaabove and ahead of the cab must be clear. Thefront wheels should be pointed in the straightahead position. Read the label affixed to theseat base for more cab tilting information.DANGERApply the parking brakes and if the truck isequipped with a manual transmission, place thegear in neutral to prevent unwanted vehiclemovement and possible injury or death.CAUT IONDue to the danger of sustaining personal injuryand/or damage to the vehicle, never attempt toraise the cab outside under extremely windyconditions. The strong wind conditions couldforce the cab beyond the normal limits of itstravel.Raising the CabRelease the cab latch by lifting the security lock(1) on the lever and then push lever (2) up untilthe cab latch hook (3) is free from its retainer.The cab lock is now in its open position (B).Release the cab latch on the other side of thecab.WARNINGDisengage both cab latches before tilting thecab. SERVICE PROGRAMSP 2-132-001Remove the pump handle from its storagelocation on either the driver or passengerside rear cab corner. It is held in place withtwo clips to the cab wall.Place the flow valve selector on the cab tiltpump pointing rearward. The text on theselector handle that reads “RAISE”is nowfacing out.Put one end of the pump handle into thepump and operate the pump in an up anddown motion. As hydraulic pressureincreases, the cab tilt cylinders will start tomove the cab up. When the cab goes overits balance point, it will fall at a controlledspeed to its full tilt position and automaticallyrelieves the hydraulic system pressure.WARNINGIt is advisable to remove the pump handlewhen it is not in use as it sticks out past thecab and could cause injury to someonepassing by.To stop the cab in a partially tilted positionwhile raising it, stop pumping and place theflow valve selector in the hold position. Installthe lock pin in the cab tilt lock tube whereverthe holes line up.DANGERDo not rely on the hydraulic pressure to holdthe cab in a partially open position. SERVICE PROGRAMSP 2-132-001Lowering the CabPlace the flow valve selector on the cab tiltpump pointing forward. The text on theselector handle that reads “LOWER”is nowfacing out. Remove the lock pin from thecab tilt lock tube.Put one end of the pump handle into thepump and operate the pump in an up anddown motion. As hydraulic pressureincreases, the cab tilt cylinders will start tomove the cab. When the cab goes over itsbalance point, it will fall at a controlled speeduntil it settles over the rear mounts.Remove the pump handle from the pumpand return it to its storage location inside thecab.he Cab in PlaceLocking the Cab in PlaceThe hold down latch hook (3) is placed intothe retainer and then locked down by pullingthe latch lever (2) down.
