11 November, 2005 <strong>The</strong> <strong>Informer</strong>High <strong>School</strong>/Middle <strong>School</strong> Newsparents and faculty for a successful andenjoyable first quarter.JV Volleyball TournamentOn <strong>the</strong> last weekend in October, ISSalso successfully hosted <strong>the</strong> JV volleyballtournament. During <strong>the</strong> weekend,our JV volleyball team (comprised <strong>of</strong> all8th grade girls!!), competed againstmany Norwegian clubs and our visitingschool from <strong>The</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong>Aberdeen. Many thanks to CrystalVaught and Tim Hicks for a successfulweekend!Spanish Exchange to BarcelonaSeveral <strong>of</strong> our 7th and 8th grade Spanishstudents are preparing for <strong>the</strong>ir upcominglanguage exchange trip toBarcelona! Our students will be departingon Saturday, November 19th andreturning on Sunday, November 27th.During <strong>the</strong> trip, our students will bestaying with Spanish families andattending school every day with <strong>the</strong>irhost student. <strong>The</strong>y will also be participatingin excursions and events alldesigned to help our students learn <strong>the</strong>9language and appreciate <strong>the</strong> culture <strong>of</strong>Spain. Part two <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> exchange programtakes place next May, when <strong>the</strong>Spanish school visits ISS.
