NGSC& NSGSCMoga, Punjab South : On 12 October, 2008 the branchorganized NGSC in Hindi and Sanskrit. In Hindi 9 Schools and in Sanskrit4 Schools took part. Out of which in Hindi Dev Samaj Public School,stood 1st and Dr. Saif-ul-din Kitchlu school got the 2nd place. In SanskritS.B.S.School got 1st and Dr. Kitchlu Public School the 2nd position.Chief guest of the programme was Shri. Amit Mittal and programmeAdhyaksh was Shri. Sunil Jain. Shri. Bodh Raj Majithia and Shri. ManjitSingh Deo were the guests of honour.Chodavaram , A.P.North-East : State level NGSC wasconducted on 19.10.2008 at Chodavaram, which was hosted by thisbranch.Zonal Convener for Seva Sri K.B.Ramarao inaugurated the function.and also State President Sri G.Kankayya, Zonal Convener SriD.Satyanarayana, State Treasurer Sri M.V.V.Satyabarayana, OrganisingSecretary Sri M.J.Prasad, Executive members and branch level memberswere also present.In Hindi and in Regional languages 9 teams each participated.InHindi first prize went to Saint Mathew Public School, Vijayawadaand in Regional language to Sri Vignan Public School Chodavaram.Vishakhapatnam : NGSC was held on 19-9-2008 by the branch atVUDA Children Theatre. Sri V.N.Vishnu. I.A.S. Vice Chairman, AVUDAwas the chief guest. Out of 17 teams, Sri Krishna Vidya Mandir School,Dwarakanagar team stood first.Shahpurkandi, Punjab North : NGSC was held on 7.10.2008at Prem Jyoti Modern Singh School. Four teams in Hindi and two teamsin Sanskrit participated. Sh. Gaurav Ghai prominent authority in the fieldof social work was the chief guest and Smt. Satya Verma was the guestof honour presided over by Sh. K.K.Mahajan, President Gurdaspur.Winners were given trophies, Medals & certificates and all the participantswere given medals & certificates.Khanna : Branch organized branch level NGSC at A.S. College forGirls on 28th September, 2008. 8 teams took part in Hindi and 5 teamsin Sanskrit. A.S. Modern Sr. Sec.School team stood 1st in Hindi andHindi Putri Pathashala School team stood 1st in SanskritSh. Sukhdev Singh Libra, Member Parliament was the chief guestand Sh. S.S.Channi President Municipal Council was the guest of honour.North State. Delhi Public School Jalandhar teams stood 1st both inHindi and Sanskrit competition.Sh. Narinder Singh Kohli (ManagingDirector K.S.C.D.Group) was the chief guest and Sh. Ramesh Jainownerof Sh. Atam Manohar Industries Khanna was guest of honour.Basugaon, Assam : On 7.9.2008 branch organized NGSC &NSGSC & Artificial Limb distribution camps at Basugaon HigherSecondary School , Basugaon.Sri Motilal Jain from Kokrajhar branch attended the programme asobserver. Netaji Sunhash Vidyaniketan Higher Secondary School wasthe winner in Sanskrit & Regional group song and Basugaon HigherSecondary School was the winner in Hindi group song.In the afternoon session artificial limbs were distributed amongthe patients whose measurement was taken on 17.08.2008. Prof. HaridasSarkar, National Additional Secretary General gave the limbs.Guwahati : The branch organized NGSC &NSGSC-2008 on14.09.2008 at the premises of Vision Institute of Professional Studies,Guwahati. 6 teams consisting of 55 participants in each competitiontook part. St Stephen School was adjudged the best team in both thecompetitions. The school participated in the State level competition heldon 21.9.2008 and secured third position in NSGSC.Goalpara : Branch organized NGSC & NSGSC at Central GirlsHigh School on 14th September, 2008.Sri Anurag Goel, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara Districtinaugurated the competition. 8 groups took part. Sri Sankardev VidyaNiketan was the winner in both the categories.Gandhi Nagar, J&K : State level function of NGSC wasorganized on 18th October, 2008 at Govt. College for Women GandhiNagar. Thakur Diwakar Singh President Dharamarth Trust was thechief guest while Prof. Nalini Kohli was guest of honour. Prof. SatishAnand was National observer. The function was presided over byProf. Suresh Gupta State President.In Hindi group ten teamsparticipated. In Hindi Jodhamal Public School stood first andJ.K.Public School in Sanskrit.Jammu West : Branch organized NGSC on 14th October, 2008 atK.C.
