Sh. B.L.Parashar,General Secretary, DelhiPratinidhi Sabha, and other BVPoffice bearers were present in themeeting.Yoga expert ShriP.D.Maheshwari recited twoBhajans on Diwali. Sh.B.L.Parashar spoke on theimportance of Diwali and he alsonarrated some achievements andgood work done by BVP. Smt.Kanchan Bhalla also sang a verygood Bhajan.Birthday of Senior Citizensfalling in Oct. 08 was alsocelebrated.The branch donated oneDari (8' x 12') for Nursery childrenof the M.C.D.Primary school onthe request of the Principal.Dental camps wereorganized by the branch andalmost 50 patients were treated.Rs. 1000/- were spent on thesecamps.A-Block, Janakpuri :Branch organized 4 Bal Sanskarcamps in which 211 childrenparticipated. The camps wereof Mrs. Usha Kapoor, theSecretarry of branch. Smt.Makheeja and Smt. Madhu Sethwere actively associated to makethe camps a grand succes. Theparticipants underwent a rigoroustraining of Yoga, Dhyan , learningpatriotic songs etc.Two dental camps with theassistance of Mobile Dental Vanwere organized in the adoptedJ.J.Colony of Uttam Nagar. 18persons were the beneficiaries.In our programme ofhelping the needy students topersue their studies withoutfeeling financial pinch, therequest of Sh. Vikas Tiwari, M.A.Final (Sanskrit) student of DelhiUniversity was conceded. Bookscosting Rs. 2800/- were donated.He stood fourth in the universityexamination in the previous year.In a senior Citizen forumShri H.K.Sharma, UnderSecretary (Retired) and Shri RajJyotshi spoke on "Secularism, itstheory and actual practice".B-Block, Janakpuri :Branch organized GVCA ingeneral assemblies of sevenschools in which 4850 students,255 teachers and 42 BVPmembers participated and 120students & 30 teachers werehonoured.Eight schools participatedin NGSC & five schools inNSGSC organized on 29.9.2008competition on 25.10.2008Janakpuri Main : Branchcelebrated Deepawali MangalMilan and Guru Nanak DevPraksah Utsav on 5th November,2008 at Shri Sanatan DharamMandir C-3, Janakpuri. Gyan Bharati School,Raniganj team secured 2ndposition at the State level inNGSC.Distributed 550 books ofShanti Kunja-Gayatri KunjaHaridwar Publication among thecitizes of Laxmangarh,Rajasthan.KARNATAKA SOUTHYagyavalkya, Bangalore :This shakha in association withMEC (Model Education Centre)has conducted "SuvarnaKarnataka Rajyothsava andKarthik Gnana Deepothsava atSri Shakthi Vidya NangapathiTemple on 27th Nov., 08 anauspicious day KarthikaAmavasya.
