On 1st Octoberbranch organized GVCA in whichfour renowned teachers werehonoured with Shawls andmementoes. Eight outstandingstudents of class 10 +2 were alsohonoured with mementos, medalsand certificates.Dr. D.G.Mahajan,Dean students P.U.was the chiefguest. He donated Rs. 5100/- tothe Parishad for such nobleprojects. Mr. S.P.Tiwari, ChairmanSeminars presided over thefunction.The branch also celebratedthe holy festival of 'Karva Chauth'with great enthusiasm on October17,2008. More than 175 ladiesattired in beautiful dressesattended the function. Religiousquiz was also organized on thisoccasion. Parishad distributedshingar packets to the ladies. Thefunction received overwhelmingresponse from every corner. Onthe holy festival Diwali the branchdistributed Table Clocks to all themembers.Sirhind : A Truck load ofrelief material was sent to Biharthrough transport and a chequeof Rs. 16,500/- was sent throughPunjab Kesri group under theSewa project of Parishad. We heldcollection camps at three placesin the city on 14th September, 08Public announcement wasmade and pamphlets werecirculated in the local newspapers.Samana : Branchcelebrated Sh. Guru TeghBahadur Balidan Divas on9.11.08 at S.D. Model School. Adeclamation contest wasorganised. Nine schoolsparticipated in this declamationcontest. Jaspreet Kaur of G.H.S.Gajpur stood first.TRIPURAAgartala : On 2ndNovember, 2008 the famousVatriditya (Bhaifota) utsav wasorganized by all the ladymembers of Agartala City for theirmember brothers and other guestbrothers invited in this great socialfunction for all Hindus. Smt.Ranjana Chakraborty d/o ourmember Sri Ranjit Kumar Sharmawas felicitated for her excellentperformance in school leavingexamination, 2008.
