Gratuity EntryThe Gratuity Entry command allows the operator to add a tip to a pre-authorized credit sale. To add a tip,1. Select the Gratuity Entry command from the Datatran Operation Menu. The GratuityEntry window displaysInitialize Pin PadInitializes the Pin Pad.Get Gift Card Balance2. Fill the form fields:a. The EMPLOYEE drop-down box allows managers to enter a gratuity forother employees.b. The CARD TYPE drop-down box allows tips to be assigned to multipleMISC TEND keys for reporting purposes.c. Enter the Record number from the merchant credit draft (REC NO:).d. Enter the original TRANSACTION AMOUNT (also from the merchantdraft).e. Use the ORIGINAL TIP AMOUNT and NEW TIP AMOUNT fields to fixan incorrect tip and also update the register reports3. Click OK. When complete, the register will print a receipt of the tip entry. The tipamount is automatically added to the employee report (to the employee that enters thetip) and to the financial report.Select Gift Card Balance, the operator will be prompted to slide a gift card.
