I love a great steak, but morethan that, I love the atmosphere of a great steakhouse. There is somethingvery intriguing, sexy and masculine about a steakhouse when it's done properly.Grrrrrr...but, I digress.As we walked into PRIME for the first time, this place had such a different feelfor me. The typical dark walls, mahogany wood accents and dim lighting I associatewith steakhouses have been replaced here. PRIME has more of an upscale 1920'ssupper club feel with tons of beautiful crystal chandeliers, art deco murals, creamand caramel colored Italian marble, and custom ivory woodwork. But, my favoritetouch had to be the crooner doing Sinatra behind the baby grand piano in the bar. Theinterior of this place is breathtaking—the kind of place that makes you want to standup straighter when you walk into it.There is comfortable seating both inside and out. We loved our table on theraised balcony. It's half indoors, half outdoors and the perfect spot to people watch.I love restaurants that allow you to people watch, and there is always interesting18 HERLIFEmagazine.com
