Management & Staffpredators foundationStick to Reading = SucceedingStick to Reading =Succeeding is an 2incentive program thatencourages youngstudents to read. Forthe past two seasonsthe Predators have partnered with Lochinvar tocreate a reading incentive program in Wilson County.This program includes prizes for the students whoattain certain reading levels, school assemblies withappearances by Predators players, mascot GNASHand Predators personnel, in addition to ticketsand autographed memorabilia to encourage thestudents to excel in academics.Wal-Mart Teacher of the MonthThe Wal-Mart Teacher of the Month programrecognizes teachers in the greater Nashville areafor their ac<strong>com</strong>plishments. The Predators selectteachers based upon the principal’s portrayal ofhow the teacher has impacted students, schoolfaculty and others around them. The Predatorstarget a different county in the area each monthand applications are distributed by the Predatorsto the principals. The winning teacher each monthreceives a surprise visit from Predators mascotGNASH, a certificate, tickets to a Predators game andrecognition on the Predators web site. Highschool students have the opportunity to be asportswriter for a day, where they watch a gamefrom the pressbox, attend the post-game pressconference with Head Coach Barry Trotz and writea follow-up game story. Other opportunities inthe program include mascot GNASH wel<strong>com</strong>ingthe students to school on the first day aftersummer vacation, <strong>com</strong>plimentary tickets, donatedautographed memorabilia, participation in hockeyclinics and the opportunity for students to volunteerat Predators’ fundraising events.Players’ Wives Initiatives: Arena DrivesThroughout the year, the players’ wives organizecharitable drives to benefit the families of Nashvilleand Middle Tennessee.
