Management & Staffbroadcasterspete weber PLAY-BY-PLAY ANNOUNCER“Voice of the Predators”Pete Weber enters his11th season as the team’splay-by-play announcer in<strong>2008</strong>-<strong>09</strong>. His insight intothe team and the game ofhockey is a regular featurein local sports talk radioand television, and he alsoconsistently contributes tothe Predators’ Web site and team publications.Pete is slated to be a “Western Conference Insider” onXM Satellite Radio’s “<strong>NHL</strong> Home Ice” service (XM 204)once again in <strong>2008</strong>-<strong>09</strong>. In addition to his duties withthe team, Weber co-hosted “SportsNight” (a popularlocal sportstalk radio program) from July 2003 untilAugust of 2005 and has filled in as a program hostfor ESPN Radio. For the past few summers, Pete hasjoined in on the Triple-A baseball Nashville Sounds’broadcasts and also produced and hosted weeklypodcasts: “This Week in the Minor Leagues” and thesyndicated “Southern Pro Football.”Weber spent two seasons (1995-97) as the radio playby-playannouncer for the Buffalo Sabres, three seasons(1978-81) as the color analyst for the Los AngelesKings and also served as host of “Hockey Night withthe Buffalo Sabres” from 1990-93. Along with his 22seasons of <strong>NHL</strong> experience, Weber has served as aplay-by-play voice in baseball (Buffalo Bisons, 1983-95),basketball (Seattle SuperSonics, 1981-82) and football(University of Buffalo, 1992). He called the hockey actionfor the University of Notre Dame (1974-76) and theUniversity at Buffalo (1976-78) and was part of the BuffaloBills’ broadcast team during their four Super Bowlseasons (1990-93).Weber was inducted into the Buffalo Baseball Hall ofFame in the summer of 1999. He was elected to theBoard of Governors for the Mid-South Region of theNational Academy of Television Arts and Sciences andserved as vice president from 2003-07.The Galesburg, Ill., native is a graduate of the Universityof Notre Dame. Weber and his wife, Claudia, residein Nashville.Terry crisp color <strong>com</strong>mentatorEntering his 11th seasonwith the Predators, TerryCrisp provides the color<strong>com</strong>mentary on theclub’s television and radiobroadcasts and helps<strong>com</strong>prise one of the mostwell-known broadcastduos in the league. Heregularly contributesinsight to the Predators’Web site and localsports talk radio and worked as a studio analystfor Canada’s TSN during the 2000, 2002 and 2003World Championships.Crisp served as a color analyst for FOX Sports duringthe 1998-99 season and during the 1998 and 1999Stanley Cup Finals, and has served in a similarcapacity for TSN in past years.Crisp posted 201 points (67g-134a) in 536 gamesduring his 11 seasons in the <strong>NHL</strong> as a player for theBoston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, New York Islandersand Philadelphia Flyers. He has won three StanleyCup Championships, two as a player with the Flyers(1974 and 1975) and one as a coach with Calgary(1989), and he is one of only 14 people to have wonthe Cup as both player and head coach. The ParrySound Ont., native has a unique perspective onexpansion teams: he was a player with the inauguraleditions of the St. Louis Blues in 1967 and the NewYork Islanders in 1972.Crisp was the head coach of the Tampa BayLightning from the franchise’s inception in 1992through October, 1997, coaching 391 games. He heldthe record for most games coached by an expansionfranchise’s first coach until Nashville head coachBarry Trotz broke the mark in 2003. In the 2004<strong>NHL</strong> Stanley Cup Finals, the Lightning defeated theFlames – the team he coached to the Cup in 1989.Crisp also served as the assistant coach of the silvermedal-winning Canadian team at the 1992 WinterOlympic Games in Albertville, France.Terry and his wife, Sheila, reside in Nashville.
