Management & Staffcoaching staffrobert bouchard video COACHRobert Bouchard is in his 11thseason with the Predators and hisninth as the team’s video coach.He is responsible for video analysisof all pre-scout and Predatorsgame film, contributing to theformulation of scouting reports onthe opposition and the productionof all instructional/teaching tapesfor players and prospects throughout the organization. Healso provides on-ice support during conditioning, rookie andtraining camps as well as during the season.Bouchard worked as the manager of team services during theclub’s inaugural season, and his contributions to the team’svideo work prompted his transition to video coordinator forthe 1999-00 season. He was subsequently promoted to hiscurrent position during the summer of 2000.Before joining the Predators, Bouchard worked for 12 years ina variety of hockey operations roles for the National HockeyLeague in Montreal and Toronto. In his last capacity with the<strong>NHL</strong>, the Pierrefonds, Quebec native managed more than 500off-ice officials and video goal judges from the <strong>NHL</strong> office inToronto as the officiating coordinator.During the off-season, he serves as an on-ice instructorat several hockey schools and clinics throughout NorthAmerica. He is the head instructor at the annual PredatorsHockey School, responsible for the planning and integrationof all tactical facets of the on-ice program. He was also thehead coach of the Father Ryan High School hockey team inNashville in 2006-07.Robert, his wife, Janie, and children, Ryan and Meghan, residein Hermitage, Tenn.david good STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACHDavid Good enters his fifth seasonas the strength and conditioningcoach of the Nashville Predators.He joined the Predators in Julyof 2004 and is responsiblefor preparing and supervisingworkout programs for all playersin the Predators system. Good alsoruns the club’s prospect careerdevelopment program and the off-ice aspects of the PredatorsHockey School in the off-season.Prior to joining the Predators, Good served as the directorof speed-strength and conditioning for West Coast SportsPerformance and Center for Athlete Medicine in ManhattanBeach, Calif., and also served as a consultant for the LongBeach Ice Dogs (ECHL). The Colorado native served as theassistant speed-strength and conditioning coach for the LosAngeles Kings from 1999-2003 and held the same title from1997-99 with the Ice Dogs (IHL). He also served as strengthand conditioning coordinator at Loyola Marymount Universityin Los Angeles from 1998-99.Before moving to California, Good served as the studentassistant strength and conditioning coach at the Universityof Colorado for two years. He received his bachelor of artsdegree in kinesiology from the University of Colorado atBoulder along with certifications in strength and conditioning,sports conditioning, and Olympic weightlifting.mitch korn goaltending coachMitch Korn is in his 11th seasonas the goaltending coach for theNashville Predators and in his 18thseason in the <strong>NHL</strong>. He works withall netminders in the Nashvillesystem, including those playingin Milwaukee (AHL), amateurleagues and Europe. Last season,he helped current Nashvillenetminder Dan Ellis develop into a No. 1 goalie after playing injust one <strong>NHL</strong> game prior to the 2007-08 season. Ellis led the<strong>NHL</strong> in save percentage (.924) and tied for third in the <strong>NHL</strong>and established a single-season franchise record in shutouts(6). Korn also assisted in the development of former Nashvillegoaltenders Chris Mason and Tomas Vokoun. Mason rankedsecond in the <strong>NHL</strong> in save percentage (.925) in 2006-07 whileVokoun ranked fifth in the <strong>NHL</strong> in save percentage (.920) andtied for sixth in shutouts (5) in his last season with Nashvillein 2006-07.Prior to joining the Predators on July 23, 1998, Korn spentseven seasons coaching the netminders in the Buffalo Sabresorganization, where he enjoyed great success while workingwith two-time Hart Trophy-winner Dominik Hasek. UnderKorn’s tutelage, Hasek captured four Vezina Trophies and ledthe <strong>NHL</strong> with the best save percentage five times. Korn alsosaw Buffalo’s goaltending tandem (Hasek and Hall-of-FamerGrant Fuhr) capture the <strong>NHL</strong>’s Jennings Trophy (lowest teamgoals-against average) during the 1994-95 season. BesidesHasek and Fuhr, Korn also coached current <strong>NHL</strong> standoutsOlaf Kolzig and Martin Biron.The New York City native has been employed at MiamiUniversity’s Goggin Ice Center in Oxford, Ohio for the past 28years, where he has served in various capacities. He currentlyruns the university’s seven-week summer hockey school,along with his own goaltending and defensemen schoolsaround the country. Korn also contributes regularly to severalhockey publications including USA Hockey Magazine andGoalies’ World.Korn began his college hockey career at Kent State Universityin the late 1970s and started his coaching career at KSU in1979. He continued coaching the goaltenders at MiamiUniversity until joining the Sabres in 1991. Korn has more than33 years of coaching experience and is now in his 18th seasonas an <strong>NHL</strong> goaltending coach.Mitch’s daughter, Ashley, is a junior at Miami University, andskates on the university’s Varsity Synchronized Skating Team.nashvillepredators.<strong>com</strong> 15
