The area under study is a South African township.It is also affected by the high level of crime.2.4 CONCLUSIONThe above discussion has shown the importance oftourism to the tourist himself aswell as the obstacles faced by the potential tourists. What emerges after thisdiscussion is the question ofhow these can be balanced. This is a difficult challengethat faces many role players in the tourism industry.The national government; the provincial government; the local government; theprivate sector; the media; the communities and many other potential role playershave a crucial role to play to ensure that all South Africans have equitable access totourism opportunities.29'.
