TRAVEL$ENSEgetting on and off are possible within the 12 leg trip limit and open jaws mayexist between site visits (get on and off at different airports).Different groups of passengers can go to different meetings, leaving the aircraftand returning at the same legs. In addition, some passengers can be onboardsolely to meet with others traveling to meetings. These enroute passengersnow have airline service scheduled in Release 3.To assist in scheduling highly complex trips, please use the Review MeetingsSchedule screen, accessible from its own button on the toolbar. Print theMeetings Schedule Report to see a detailed, leg by leg printout of who isgetting on and off the aircraft and from where they are returning.IS TRAVEL$ENSE YEAR 2000 (Y2K) COMPLIANT?187A qualified yes. Final compliance cannot be certified for <strong>Travel$ense</strong> untilFebruary 1999. This is due to the airline reservation system having an 11-monthtime frame. In other words you cannot obtain January 1, 2000 airline data untilFebruary 1999.All of <strong>Travel$ense</strong> Release 3 components are compliant and store dates in fullycompliant fields (Access97 database, date format field for permanent storage).<strong>Travel$ense</strong> is an entirely 32-bit Windows application created with the latestdevelopment tools.Starting no earlier than February 1999, <strong>NBAA</strong> will post Y2K information withinthe <strong>Travel$ense</strong> support Web site at www.nbaa.org/T$.I HAVE AN EARLIER VERSION OF TRAVEL$ENSE. WILL I HAVE TO REINPUTPASSENGER, SALARY, AIRCRAFT AND DEFAULT DATA?No. The <strong>Travel$ense</strong> convert utility will convert your existing database toRelease 3 standards. Current passenger information, compensation levels,aircraft data and default settings will be applied to the new Release 3installation.You should, however, carefully review the default settings screen to apply yourcompany’s assumptions to default options new to Release 3, and double-checkyour passenger, compensation and aircraft data, to make sure they are stillapplicable.For more information, see Upgrading from Release 1 or 2 on page 15.IN CONVERTING TO RELEASE 3, WILL I LOSE TRIPS STORED IN THE OLDDATABASE?No. The <strong>Travel$ense</strong> convert utility will convert valid saved trips to Release 3standards.
