TRAVEL$ENSEThe Business Aircraft Performance Report119The Business Aircraft Performance Report provides an extensive analysis oftrips flown on the selected business aircraft relative to airline trips. Thisincorporates the Summary Report and adds two sections of analysis unique tothis report that occupy the last two pages of the report. The Summary Reportlisting at the start of the report is modified slightly from the standard SummaryReport by the removal of city codes. This report is unique in that a corresponding export of its data is available viathe Export button. This creates a text file called export.txt in your Travel$ensedirectory with comma-delimited text data corresponding to the contents ofthe report. This is designed to allow companies to submit data to NBAA foranalysis as part of an effort to understand the industry-wide benefits ofbusiness aviation. The first such data was collected in March of 1998.The report carefully excludes any confidential identifying information, particularly the city pairs of the trips and the tail numbers of aircraft involved. No company names, identifying defaults or passenger data are included on thereport. The same criteria are available as used with the Summary Report, such asselecting the business aircraft, trip status (optional), date range of trips andspecifying the sort order of the Summary Report table. The Business Aircraft Statistics section shown above provides a total of 93calculations, most of which are unique to this report. Median results arepresented along with averages to ensure a meaningful comparison. The resultspresented in turn can form the basis for a wide variety of analyses, such ascomparing the cost per mile for airline tickets priced by Travel$ense versusthose published by other sources or used within your company. The first section presents the six main Summary Report measures along withmedians, averages, minimums and maximums. The second section focuses onbusiness aircraft utilization, such as load factors and travel times. The thirdCopyright © 1999, National Business Aviation Association, Inc.
