Committee BudgetFrom an initial budget of THB 510,000 at the start ofthe year, the following projects were approved andhave been mostly disbursed: Polio Plus Vaccination Days – THB 34,772 MG 75724 for 16 Clean Drinking Water Systems(CDWS) in Angthong – THB 30,000 MG 77279 for 20 CDWS in Singburi and Saraburi– THB 150,000 Sister Rita Orphanage Christmas Gifts/OldPeoples’ Home TV and Satellite Dish – THB 49,500Host Ambassadorial Scholars at RI Conventionand District Conference – THB 6,000 Contribution to Rotaract annual service project –THB 25,000 (The Interact annual service project Conference - THB 20,000.These totalled THB 312,272. In addition we are utilizingTHB 90,000 in District Designated Funds for the abovetwo Matching Grant projects and one with the RotaryClub of Buengkhum.2. Annual Programs FundWe had 10 Paul Harris Fellows in the year, includingtwo Benefactors.3. Luang Sit Fellowship FundTHB 687,000 was handed over to the Foundationfor Needy Schoolchildren, covering 114 studentscholarships, of which 109 were funded by Luang Sitfellowship donations, and 5 by interest from the LuangSit fund.The Funds stands at total THB 2.27 million, currently atan interest rate of 2.35% per annum.The annual Paul Harris dinner took place on 2 February,attended by 44 people, with pins and medals handedout to all new Luang Sit and Paul Harris fellows.4. Sister Clubs Our 50 year anniversary was very successful interms of Sister Club participation – and in every Agreements with those clubs who were able toattend. During the Rotary International Convention inRotarians and Sister Club members to the hosted At the Convention we also renewed our SisterClub Agreement, which had been in place since1996, with the RC of Marikina, Philippines. As well as being our 50 year anniversary, thisRotary year also saw the Rotary InternationalConvention taking place in Thailand. Youth Program (Partners in Service)5.1 Assumption University (AU) Rotaract and BangkokChristian College (BCC) Interact club activities,sponsored meetings and conferences were successfullycompleted.Regional Rotaract Conference.5.3 10 AU Rotaractors and 11 BCC Interactorsparticipated in Kids’ Day Out on 29th March, andanother 14 and 15 respectively helped us at Coins onSilom on 27th January.6. Humanitarian Grants ProgramMatching Grant Projects completed this year:MG 66548 HIV/AIDS Awareness: Project wascompleted in December 2011 after running for 3 years.The Grant provided education about HIV/AIDS to localcommunities in Phangnga and Ranong provinces, aswell as support to people living with HIV/AIDS. Totalvalue was THB 5.4 million. Status: Final report sent toRotary International.MG 73285 – 15 Clean Drinking Water Systems (CDWS)for 15 schools in Banmi, Lopburi. Value: THB 1.3million.MG with Japan District 2670 for a tsunami relief projectin Japan. THB 225,900 contributed from RCBS last year.Ongoing Matching Grant projects:MG 74470 – 17 CDWS for 17 schools in Banmi, Lopburi.Value: THB 1.4 million. Status: Systems installed andproject almost completed.MG 75724 – 16 CDWS for 16 schools in Angthong.Value: THB 1.4 million. Status: Systems to be installedshortly. Likely inauguration in August 2012 withJapanese partners.MG 77279 – 20 CDWS for 20 schools in Singburi andSaraburi. Value: THB 1.9 million. Status: Awaiting RIapproval.7. Polio PlusOur Club participated in 2 Polio Plus events duringDecember 2011 and January 2012.8. Educational ProgramClub on several occasions this year. A delegation fromour Club also visited the Chulalongkorn Peace Centrein April 2012 and members of our club participated inthe graduation of students at a ceremony in May 2012.9.
