PHASE LOCKED LOOP APPLICATIONSIt is essential that the resistance from each pin to ground beequal in order to maintain output waveform symmetry andto minimize frequency drift. When locking the VCO outputto the phase comparator (pins 3 to 2 for single-endedconnection), capacitive coupling should be used. If a signalexceeding 2V is to be applied, a 1 K n resistor should beplaced in series with the coupling capacitor.
