The models are hypotheses of species-habitatrelationships, and model users should recognize that the degree of veracity ofthe HSI model, SI graphs, and assumptions will vary according to geographicalarea and the extent of the data base for individual variables.A brief discussion of selected Suitability Index (SI) curves as used in theInstream Flow Incremental Methodology (IFIM), and a discussion of SI curvesavailable for the IFIM analysis of Spotted bass habitat are also inclUded.17.
