Double Layer in Plasmas5. Double Layers in Pair-ion PlasmasA double layer is a structure in a plasma consists of two parallel layers withopposite electrical charge. The sheets of charge cause a strong electric field anda correspondingly sharp change in voltage (electrical potential) across the doublelayer.
