MONTSERRATLABOUR CODE, 2012No. 20 of 2012(f) wilfully connives in any forging, counterfeiting,giving, signing, uttering, making use, personating orpretending under this section;(g) wilfully makes a false entry in any register, notice,certificate or document required by, under or for thepurposes of this Code;(h) wilfully makes or signs a false declaration requiredby, under or for the purposes of this Code; or(i) knowingly makes use of any false entry ordeclaration referred to in paragraph (g) or (h),commits an offence and is liable on summary convictionto a fine of $10,000.00.(2) The operator of a workplace who—(a) obstructs or delays the Labour Commissioner or alabour officer in the due exercise of any powerconferred on him or her by or under this Code;(b) refuses to answer or falsely answers, any inquiryauthorised by or under this Code;(c) fails to produce any register, book, document orother record he or she is required to produce by orunder this Code; or(d) conceals or prevents, or attempts to conceal orprevent, any person from appearing before or beingexamined by an inspector,commits an offence and is liable on summary convictionto a fine of $10,000.00.(3) If any person suffers personal injury or dies inconsequence of the operator of the workplace havingcontravened any provision of this Code, the operatorcommits an offence and is liable on summary convictionto a fine of $10,000.00.76
