Vaccinate only healthy birds.2. Always follow manufacturer’s recommendations for handling, storage and administration of all vaccines.3. Coccivac-D vaccine induces immunity after 28 days. Flock management programs must accommodate theimmunity development process.4. Enterovax vaccine does not spread bird-to-bird. Take care to ensure complete flock coverage via sprayor water technique. Avoid the use of live reovirus vaccines during production: vertical shed to the progeny may result.5. Vaccines for avian encephalomyelitis should be administered at 8 weeks of age or older to avoid AE signs in breederreplacements, and at least 4 weeks prior to initial egg production to avoid vertical shed of the virus to the progeny.6. Examine and record “takes” for both pox and live fowl cholera vaccines at 7 days post-vaccination toevaluate application technique, flock tolerance of vaccine strain and to ensure flock immunity. For more information, or to consult with our Technical Support Group, call 1-800-211-3573.
