Direct-Thermal LP ModelBefore following the steps in this procedure, open the printer bypulling the release latches forward then lifting the top cover.MOVIERemoval1. Unsnap the bracket from the lid.2. Slide the print head to one side until itis free of the lid.3. Use a #1 Phillips driver to loosen thescrew that holds the ground wire tothe bracket; pull the wire away fromthe bracket.4. Unplug both bundles of print headwires from the left and rightconnectors.30 980481-001A
Replacing the LP Print Head (Continued)Assembly1. Align the print head to plug the leftand right connectors into the wirebundles.2. Slip the ground wire under the rightscrew and use a #1 Phillips driver totighten in.3. Slide the print head into one side andjog it into the other side.4. Align the pivots of the bracket ontothe posts; then, snap the bracket intoplace.5. Clean the print head with the cleaningpen.Reload media.
