"THE HOLY EUCHAKIST. 89ceived the good God!The Body of our Lord will shinethrough our body, His adorable Blood through our blood ;our soul will be united to the Soul of our divine Lordthroughout all eternity. There will it enjoy peace andperfect happiness. My children, when the soul of aChristian which has received our Lord enters into paradise, it increases the joy of heaven. The angels and theQueen of angels come to meet it, because they recognisethe presence of the Son of God in that soul. Oh, how sublime is the office ofthe priest! If he did but understand its greatness, hewould die. God obeys him ; he says two words, and ourLord descends from heaven at his voice, and encloses Himself in a little Host. God looks upon the altar, and says,*This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hecan refuse nothing to the merits of that oblation. If webad faith, we should discern God hidden in the person ofthe priest, like a light behind a glass like wine mingledwith water. A priest, after the Consecration, felt a mo-It
