As a watchmaker discerns by the help of his magnifying-glass the mostminute wheels of his watch, soby the light of the HolyGhost we discern the most secret details of our poorlives. Then do the slightest imperfections appear great,the lightestsins horrible.reason why the Blessed Virgin never sinnedthat the Holy Spirit revealed to her the hideousness ofis,evil. She shuddered with horror at the slightest fault.Those in whom the Holy Spiritdwells cannot endurethemselves, so conscious are they of their own miseryThe proud are those who have not the Holy Spirit.T
